Exer-Genie® Training

Exergenie® is a superbly-engineered strength and conditioning machine that has benefited from over forty years of proven research and development.

The Trainer® custom series Exer-Genie® exerciser is the original machine employing the theory of combining isometric (without movement) and isotonic (with movement) exercise to maintain strength, endurance, technique and flexibility since 1961.

The Trainer® gets you in prime condition by priming your muscles isometrically and, without allowing that muscle to relax, moving against controlled resistance through a complete range of motion allowing you to train and not strain!

Improves Speed- The scientific design promotes the strength of all or specific areas with complete control on intensity during the movement. Improves Agility- Unlike stretch cords, the Trainer variable resistance technology allows limitless physical improvement.

Improves Balance- Forward, Backward sideways, or oblique movements can be targeted for specific movement! Improves reaction time with targeted strength training!

Improves Technique – In any sport technique is of prime importance in the delivery of endurance and or power. I have used the Exer-Genie® as a swimmer myself and as a coach since I have started coaching, the unit especially helps those clients who are tactile in their learning style to understand exactly what a true ‘catch’ in the water actually feels like. Once the correct limb tract patterns have been encountered transferring these patterns into the water is all but automatic.

Here is what U.S swim coach Don Gambril …the 1984 U.S. Olympic Coach and Assistant U.S. Olympic Coach in 1968, 1972, 1976, and 1980. Coach Gambril has coached many well-known swimmers, such as:

•             Mark Spitz

•             Sharon Stouder

•             Gunnar Larsson (Sweden)

•             Matt Biondi

•             Nancy Hogshead

•             Jonty Skinner (South Africa)

•             Hans Fassnacht (Germany)

•             Mary Meagher.

Had to say about the Exer-genie®... "I first used Exer-Genie® in 1964! My swimmers that year broke four world records and won six national titles."

Here is what U.S swimming coach Dick Hannula who was a four-term president of the National Swimming Association, coach to the US National Swim Team in 1973, 1975 (in the Pan American Games), 1976, 1978, and 1985. He managed the national swim team in 1979, at the 1984 Summer Olympics and the 1988 Summer Olympics has to say about the Exer-Genie® Swim Trainer...

“I use the Exer-Genie® with my swimmers. I like it very much as it was portable and could be attached readily most anywhere... It also provided near constant tension throughout the range of motion.”

The Exer-Genie® is Swimmers Acceleration's training unit of choice. Unlike swim cords the Exer-Genie® is constant in it's resistance throughout the exercise period. Australian swimmers who have used the unit include...

Shane Gould, Karen Moras,Jenny Turrell and Emily Seymour (pictured left) to name but four swimmers.
